Yeah, Nick is pretty much in keeping with the design reference that I was provided with and it was really that design that made me think of playing up the scene in an Avery-esque manner. The dog is a surrogate for Droopy, whose design I really should be a bit more familiar with before I try to replicate the feel. Still though you're right that he's not quite as snooty as the situation would suggest.
